A few people, including someone named Mouse, have showed interest in the Design a Friend morning suit I posted about a few months ago, wanting to know if it would fit a Kidz n Cats doll. So I had fun playing dress-up and the answer is, yes, it certainly does. I got the camera out to show just how well!
The trousers are the perfect length, the waist is correct and allows for the shirt tails to be tucked in without bunching, and as you can see the long tailed morning coat also fits nicely, all in all a very good look for Alex. I think the suit actually fits this doll much better.
The shoes fit, though they are a little loose and would probable work better with some socks underneath – they’re secure enough and he stands in them which is the main thing however.
The coat is perfectly fitted and the length is about right even though Alex has shorter legs then the Design a Friend dolls, or my Gotz Harry Potter doll that originally modelled the outfit.
Its quite a posh suit for a little boy though, and I think I prefer the outfit without the coat, now Alex is a pageboy at the wedding rather than the groom, and doesn’t he look darling?
As I said in the original post, this is an excellent outfit, well designed and constructed with good quality fabrics, one of the best outfits from the Design a Friend range, and ideal for Kidz n Cats to wear. Alex is feeling very handsome indeed and looking round for the bridesmaid now..
The bridesmaids will be fighting over him! Good play value from the outfit and some nice individual pieces for mix and match. Good find!
The current range of Design a friend outfits is a bit disappointing but this is a real winner for sure
Oh ! Très très beau !!
Merci
Cute! 🙂
Will your little boy be trying it? 🙂
Possibly, though somehow I can’t see him in the tailcoat, and his chances of remaining tidy for more than thirty seconds are slim… 😉
Bribery works wonders.. 🙂
He got a hair wash yesterday, so he looks slightly less scruffy. Maybe some day. 😉
(By the way, K&R have re-done their website, and made your side-bar link go “Oops!”. Leaving the Main.htm bit off will fix it.)
Oh thanks for that, she’d mentioned she was redoing the site months back and I checked back frequently, no change, so I stopped bothering. Typical! Will fix the link and go and see her new version too 🙂
Thank you SO MUCH Blue! Saving up for it right now, currently have £4!
Many thanks,
Mouse 😀
You’re very welcome 🙂
Hi Blue, I just happened to be surfing for a moment and saw your post. Yes, website re-done, but still a work in progress and more to be done as yet. It’s been a bit of an uphill struggle and it’s still not completely as I want it, but I’m getting there! Any comments would be really welcome 🙂
Looking good. Interested to see the new K&C dolls, which havn’t even appeared on the Heart and Soul website yet… 😉
Did you see the new boy doll, Robert? Are you tempted, wee playmate for your lad? 🙂
He looks a bit of a bruiser. 😉
Doubt my budget will stretch that far in the near future, though.
Mine either, sadly…
…and I notice he’s the front page on the Heart & Soul website now.
So he is, no wonder he’s selling so fast, I think Maxine at My Doll Best Friend said he’s sold out til June, or heading that way…!
…and that, I guess, is hoping they deliver more or less when they say they will. I wonder how the other dolls are selling. They’ve got five girls for each boy at the moment. I figure they need more boy dolls, but maybe I’m biased… 😉
I really like the new face mould so i hope they do well.. and yes, always need more boy dolls, I wish Gotz would produce one!
So much hard work there, Trisha, well done!
Hi Blue, yes, hard work – and I tend to go in fits and starts with it! STILL lots to do.
Yes, Kidz ‘n’ Cats released and everyone loves Robert! Let’s just hope he lives up to his promo pictures 🙂
Its just great to see a new boy doll, I love the new face mould also
