Following rumours of stock issues and certain dolls in the much-loved Kidz n Cats range possibly being discontinued, it has been confirmed that the company that makes them, With Heart and Soul, has faced supply problems, or rather, they’ve been selling a little too well. This means that many dolls have sold out, and replenishing stocks and getting them to retailers in time for the busy Christmas period was going to be a challenge as they are manufactured in China.
Luckily, With Heart and Soul have come up with a solution: for a limited time the Kidz n Cats dolls will be made in Berlin. The dolls in question will be made with different fabrics than the Chinese counterparts, but most will be available again from the end of November. These dolls will likely include Anne, Alister, Carlotta, Evita, Grace, Sabine, Sophie and Tim, though other dolls in the line may end up being produced in Germany.
With Heart and Soul are also due to announce details of a limited edition Kidz n Cats doll in the near future.
If you were planning a Kidz n Cats Christmas, or had one on your wish list, keep your eyes open for existing stocks or the new versions as they will likely be in short supply. Hopefully things will settle down in the next few months and production be back to normal.
